We’re looking for a forward-thinking, people-driven Human Resources Manager to lead our HR operations and strengthen our company culture. This role oversees all aspects of human resources — from recruitment and performance management to compliance and engagement — across multiple divisions.

Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing to organizational development and planning.
- Partner with management on workforce planning and succession strategies to support growth.
Recruitment and Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment — from job posting and sourcing to onboarding.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop accurate job descriptions.
- Ensure a smooth and professional onboarding experience for all new hires.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive, engaging workplace culture that values teamwork and respect.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, addressing issues promptly and confidentially.
- Conduct and document internal investigations related to complaints or policy violations.
- Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and terminations.
Performance Management
- Lead the performance review process and drive accountability at all levels.
- Coach and mentor employees and managers to support ongoing development and performance improvement.
Compliance, Policy & Legal
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, review, and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook to reflect current legal standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
Payroll & HR Systems
- Partner with Accounting/Payroll to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Maintain HRIS and employee data integrity while safeguarding confidential information.
- Generate reports and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and implement effective programs to enhance employee skills and leadership development.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee and manage a competitive and equitable compensation and benefits program.
- Conduct market salary reviews and develop merit-based structures to maintain internal equity.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to manage benefits enrollment and employee communications.
Health, Safety & Leave Management
- Collaborate with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Manage employee leaves of absence (FMLA, personal, etc.) and coordinate workers’ compensation claims.
- Maintain records and coordinate return-to-work processes in partnership with Safety and Payroll.
Employee Engagement
- Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Organize recognition events, surveys, and team-building activities.
- Monitor turnover trends and recommend proactive retention strategies.
HR Metrics and Reporting
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and analytics to track key performance indicators.
- Use data to identify trends, improve programs, and guide decision-making.
- Present regular HR updates and metrics to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR).
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and best practices in workforce management.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems (HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking).
- Experience supporting field-based or construction industry workforces preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
