Overview:
Glacier’s Human Resources Manager is responsible for accurate and timely management of all Payroll and Benefits functions along with our company’s Human Resources needs and requirements. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership, helping to attract, develop, and retain top talent while promoting a culture aligned with Glacier’s mission and member-focused values. The HR Manager will work closely with all department heads and our Financial Controller, with direct reporting to the General Manager.
Essential Duties:

Lead the full employee lifecycle including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, orientation and retention initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between management and employees, provide guidance on HR issues, and align HR strategies with organizational goals and culture.
- Manage end-to-end Payroll processing for all employees in conjunction with Paycom payroll processing software, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of payroll and related tax filings.
- Administer and oversee employee benefits and leave programs, including health insurance, 401(k), CO FAMLI, workers’ compensation, and other statutory programs; ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain employee handbook policies and procedures, ensuring consistency with federal, state, and local laws.

Prepare, analyze, and maintain employment reports and records as required by law or for internal management review.

Conduct exit interviews, compensation audits, and manage year-end evaluations.
- Maintain a collaborative and teaching spirit, helping to guide and support all managers and employees across all departments on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and retention, fostering Glacier’s culture of service excellence and teamwork.

Develop and conduct training sessions for managers and supervisors on effective people management practices, including performance coaching, conflict resolution, compliance with employment laws and fostering employee engagement.
- Ensure HR compliance with applicable labor laws, company policies, and industry standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required with industry certifications a plus.
- Experience in a payroll, compensation, and benefits-related role.

Minimum 3 years of human resources and payroll experience with broad knowledge of all aspects (benefits administration, leave management, employment related laws, coaching, counseling, change management).

Hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS platforms, preferably Paycom.

Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
