Human Resources Manager – Lead, Influence, and Shape the Employee Experience

You will lead core HR operations, develop your team, and serve as a trusted partner to leadership.


Position Overview:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the daily leadership of the HR department with oversight of compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and team performance. This role supports a high-performance, employee-centered culture while ensuring operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations of the HR department and manage HR staff.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and third-party leave management.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and required government reporting.
  • Lead employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Administer HRIS and drive process improvements.
  • Support HR strategy and cross-functional projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience leading and developing an HR team.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a people management role.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits, compliance, investigations, and leave administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and employee relations practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to pivot quickly, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Type : Direct Hire

Pay : $97-110k

Location : just west of the zoo, downtown

Hours : Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, 100% onsite
