Dean Team Automotive Group is a growing, locally owned automotive organization with multiple rooftops in the St. Louis market. We are adding our first dedicated Human Resources Manager to bring structure, consistency, and professionalism to how we hire, onboard, and support our people.

This is a hands-on, real-world HR role. You’ll work closely with leadership and department managers, helping fix hiring gaps, improve onboarding, reduce turnover, and ensure employee matters are handled correctly and consistently.

What You’ll Do

Hiring & Recruiting

  • Lead and standardize hiring across all locations
  • Manage job postings and recruiting on Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Partner with managers to improve hiring decisions and outcomes

Onboarding & Retention

  • Own the onboarding process from offer through first 90 days
  • Ensure consistent, professional onboarding across departments
  • Help reduce turnover by improving processes and communication

Employee Relations

  • Support managers with performance issues, documentation, and terminations
  • Ensure employee issues are handled legally, professionally, and consistently
  • Serve as a trusted, level-headed resource — not “HR police”

Benefits & HR Operations

  • Coordinate benefits administration with our benefits broker
  • Assist with time & attendance processes
  • Maintain employee records, policies, and HR documentation

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
  • Maintain employee handbook and internal HR procedures

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on HR experience
  • Experience supporting hiring, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism

Preferred

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
  • Experience supporting 100–200 employees across multiple locations
  • Background in automotive, retail, or service-based environments

Compensation
