The HR Manager is responsible for managing all human resource functions of the dealership, ensuring effective manpower planning, statutory compliance, smooth payroll operations, and positive employee relations in line with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for sales, service, bodyshop, and support staff.
- Coordinate with department heads to assess manpower needs.
- Conduct interviews, issue offer letters, and manage onboarding.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Maintain employee records, files, and HR documentation.
- Handle confirmation, promotion, transfer, and exit processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition.
Payroll & Attendance
- Oversee payroll processing, attendance, leave, and incentives.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Manage salary revisions and performance-based increments.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.).
- Handle inspections, audits, and statutory filings.
- Maintain statutory registers and returns.
Performance Management
- Implement appraisal systems and performance reviews.
- Support department heads in setting KPIs and evaluating staff.
- Recommend promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate technical and soft-skill training.
- Arrange induction programs for new employees.
- Track training attendance and effectiveness.
Employee Relations & Discipline
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and code of conduct.
- Promote a positive work culture and employee engagement.
HR Policies & MIS
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies and SOPs.
- Prepare HR MIS reports on manpower, attendance, attrition, and compliance.
- Provide HR data to management for decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / MSW in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 3 years of HR experience, preferably in an automobile dealership.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
