Human Resources Manager

Beacon Partners, a leading privately held commercial real estate firm founded in 1989, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to build and lead our first inhouse HR function. Our company owns and develops an institutionalquality portfolio exceeding 15.5 million square feet across the Carolinas, with a strong focus on the Charlotte and RaleighDurham markets.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the HR foundation of a growing organization of approximately 50 employees, expanding to about 60 over the next two years. You will own daily HR operations while partnering with leadership to design scalable systems that support our culture, growth, and compliance initiatives. The role reports to the COO and collaborates closely with the Office Administrator and Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and formalize HR policies, processes, and systems.
  • Lead fullcycle recruiting, onboarding, and candidate evaluation.
  • Support employee relations, foster culture, and manage performance review processes.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs and support payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and maintain HR documentation.
  • Lead training, development, and internship program initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive HR experience; real estate or startup experience preferred.
  • Broad HR expertise with experience implementing HR technology platforms.
  • Strong judgment, confidentiality, organization, and interpersonal skills.
