Human Resources Manager

Clarity Partners is seeking a Human Resources Manager local to Chicago, IL. The HR Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of Clarity Partners’ HR practices and processes, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, onboarding, talent management, and employee engagement. This role requires a strategic HR leader who can partner with leadership while also executing day-to-day HR operations that support positive and productive employee experience. This position will report in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies, policies, and initiatives with the firm’s overall business goals.
  • Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment support, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, processes, and initiatives that enhance organizational performance and employee experience.
  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs including enrollment, education, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
  • Lead compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and total rewards programs to maintain market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Oversee call center employee engagement strategies, partnering with leadership to enhance workplace culture, retention, and team performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while maintaining updated HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage HR systems and employee data within the HRIS (Paylocity), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and proper record keeping.
  • Plan and support employee engagement initiatives, company events, and programs that foster a strong organizational culture.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, policies, and organizational effectiveness and help implement strategic improvements.
  • Oversee office management functions and provide guidance to administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 9+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience in an HR leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, compliance, and HR operational processes.
  • Experience administering compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs.
  • Proven ability to partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HR certification such as PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Experience in professional services or consulting environments is a plus.

Clarity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Human Resources Manager, the base salary pay range is $120,000 – $150,000. The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting. Compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
