The human resources manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS for the position of Human Resources Manager:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years’ experience in Human Resources.

• 2+ years’ experience in Healthcare (Long Term Care Preferred).

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Human Resources Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.

• Responds to employee relations issues.

• Monitors the performance evaluation program.

• Communicates benefits information to employees.

• Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill job openings.

• Conducts new hire orientations.

• Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

• Responsible for auditing employee personnel files, keeping them current.

• Maintains working relationship with union officials and terms of labor contract.

• Reports, maintains and monitors Workers' Compensation, LOA, FMLA cases and processes unemployment claims - attends unemployment hearings, if needed.

• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
