Human Resources Manager

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Ho-Ho-Kus, Inc. (HHK) is a leading manufacturer of aircraft clamping and latching systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, quick release clamps, hose clamps, latches, hinges, brackets, fairlead blocks, and panel fasteners. The company holds multiple locations across the country in NJ, NY, CT, VA, FL, AZ, and CO.

SCOPE:

We are seeking an exceptional Human Resources Manager who thrives on building relationships and creating positive employee experiences! This dynamic, self-starting professional will lead all HR functions for multiple properties, including recruiting top talent, screening and interviewing candidates, onboarding new hires, handling employee relations, administering payroll and benefits, and developing employee training programs. They will plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization in compliance with municipal, state and federal regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Human Resources activities in accordance with Quality Management System.

- Partner with the executive team and senior management to continually evolve the human resources strategy.

- Oversees recruitment process and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.

- Maintains records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.

- Oversees paid time off (PTO), leave of absence, and employee assistance programs.

- Assists in the design and implementation of compensation packages that are market competitive and support long-term employee retention.

- Designs or participates in the design and establishment of organizational structures and staffing to effectively accomplish the company's hiring goals and objectives.

- Trains and mentors the management team to ensure programs, procedures, and policies are enforced and carried out in a fair and consistent manner.

- Develops and publishes human resources policies and procedures that are consistent with the Quality Management System.

- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for the insurance carrier.

- Maintains an understanding of labor laws & OSHA guidelines.

- Administer and advise leaders regarding legal and regulatory compliance: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA, safety, etc.

Other duties as required.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

-Bachelor's degree preffered.

-Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and/or with teams.

-Prioritizes and plans work activities. Uses time efficiently. Plans for additional resources. Sets goals and objectives.

-Strong leadership skills, motivational/coaching/mentoring skills.

-Advanced knowledge in understanding human resources management principles, practices, and standards.

-Excellent knowledge of municipal, state, and federal regulations.

-Knowledgeable in compensation and benefit plans.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAINING:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional travel between corporate divisions.

Work may require weekend and/or evening work.

Valid driver’s license in good standing required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
