Human Resources Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution and administration of global HR processes across Vericut's operations. This role ensures that core people operations, including compliance tracking, data management, benefits administration, and employee support are delivered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with organizational requirements.


Operating within a lean HR structure and an interim systems environment, this role is responsible for managing manual processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting day-to-day HR operations across multiple regions. The position partners closely with the HR Lead to ensure operational continuity and effective support for global employees.


This role is expected to operate with a high degree of ownership in managing day-to-day HR operations and establishing structure where processes are evolving. Additionally, this position is part-time (up to 30 hours per week) and requires on-site presence, with flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.


Key Responsibilities:


Compliance & Audit Support

  • Track and coordinate statutory compliance requirements across applicable jurisdictions
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and training completion tracking
  • Maintain audit-ready records and proactively monitor upcoming deadlines


Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and update the global employee census, ensuring a high degree of data accuracy and integrity
  • Manage employee data within engagement platforms (e.g., Peakon) on a defined cadence
  • Prepare recurring headcount and HR reporting for leadership
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and discrepancies
  • Manage employee database (roster, organizational chart)
  • Support preparation of HR reports and dashboards; assist in improving reporting processes as tools and systems evolve


Benefits Administration

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits-related inquiries
  • Administer benefits processes including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Coordinate with external vendors and escalate complex issues as appropriate


Global HR Coordination

  • Manage and respond to HR-related employee inquiries, including ownership of shared HR communication channels (e.g., inbox)
  • Coordinate HR communications across regions in alignment with established processes
  • Support global employees with HR-related requests within defined guidelines


Recruiting Support (as needed)

  • Support job postings across relevant platforms
  • Assist with applicant tracking and candidate communications
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and logistics


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, HR coordination, or HR administration
  • Experience supporting multi-region or global teams preferred


Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of core HR operations processes, including compliance, employee data management, and benefits administration
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working within manual or spreadsheet-based processes
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with employees across different levels and regions
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a lean or high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and employee engagement platforms (e.g., Peakon or similar)
  • Exposure to global HR practices and multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance-related activities
  • Comfort working with data and interest in improving reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g,. Power BI)
