KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator position provides essential administrative and transactional support to the Human Resources and Payroll functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting payroll processing, ensuring data accuracy across HR systems, and assisting employees with questions related to HR, benefits, and payroll. The position plays a key role in compliance, documentation integrity, and ensuring a positive employee experience. This role will have a dual-reporting relationship to the CHRO and Payroll Manager.


Employee Records & Compliance

  • Maintain and update employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Complete and monitor employment verification documentation, including I‑9 processing and record retention.
  • Conducts HR data audits and routine checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.


HR Support & Employee Service:

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR, benefits, and payroll.
  • Assist in benefits administration, including enrollment support, invoice reconciliation, reporting, and data accuracy reviews.
  • Support annual Open Enrollment by assisting with employee questions, system updates, documentation tracking, and communications.
  • Enter HRIS transactions such as new hires, terminations, pay changes, job changes, and status updates in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Generate HRIS reports and support routine data requests.
  • Create job requisitions and postings in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Complete all HRIS and payroll activities supporting new hire onboarding for HQ and field-based employees; supporting Plant-HR Assistants with these activities as needed.


Payroll Processing & Support:

  • Provide administrative and transactional payroll support under the direction of the Payroll Manager.
  • Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, including timekeeping, pay changes, and employee information.
  • Assist with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate pay for all employees.
  • Partner with plant HR teams to answer payroll-related questions and ensure data accuracy across locations.
  • Support compliance with wage and hour regulations and company policies.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of HR experience
  • 1+ years of payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)


PREFERENCES:

  • Associate degree or HR/payroll coursework
  • 3+ years experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • 1+ years experience with ADP Enhanced Time & Attendance
  • Experience managing employment verifications, employment eligibility


Job Location:
This position is full-time, office-based in Stamford, CT (5 days/week).
