The Department of Neurology is looking to recruit a Human Resources (HR) Professional to support the department on a variety of human capital needs. The HR Professional will share responsibility of 200+ department employees, including faculty, professional staff, students and volunteers with the department’s HR team. This individual will utilize the Department of Neurology’s database and reporting of the human resources functions of the department under discretion of the Business Services Program Manager. This position is responsible for managing functions in the Human Capital Management system (HCM), which includes functions related to appointments, hiring, funding, additional pay, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions, and time collection. This individual will support human resource programs including processing employee life cycle HR transactions (e.g., talent acquisition, performance management, credentialling, and related trainings), payroll/benefits, performance management, and employment relations.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
Ability to administer time collection, employee funding, and payroll.
Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge of professional standards, concepts and practices related to Human Resources.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
Ability to take initiative with daily work activities and collaborates to create a positive effect on team performance.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Entry: $48,512 - $65,006
Intermediate: $52,793 - $70,742
Senior: $57,073 - $76,478
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
