Position Purpose: The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for recruiting employees whose talents are aligned with company goals and is critical to the success of an organization processing the administrative duties of the Human Resources Department. Contributes to the wellbeing and development of the organization’s most precious asset, its people – on a daily basis.
Position Requirements / Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Associates Degree required. Must have previously worked in the capacity of a Recruiter for a minimum of 3 year, preferably in a health care setting. 1 year of experience in a Human Resources environment. Ability to type 40 WPM, computer literate.
Licensure / Certification:
Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills / Ability:
Demonstrates proficiency in verbal, computer and written skills. Ability to work independently: strong organizational skills and outstanding people skill. Ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced Human Resources Department.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES (THIS IS A NON-EXEMPT POSITION)

Answers telephones, greets and routes applicants.

Reviews applications daily as they are received and advises supervisors on qualified applicants for vacant positions.

Process “Requisition” through current tracking system.

Maintains records of Requisitions and open positions.

Generates job posting and places on the appropriate bulletin boards throughout CHI, mail out vacancies to various agencies, announcements and process newspaper advertising.

Contacts supervisors to advise them of qualified applicants for position.

Prescreens and contacts candidates and schedules candidates for interviews.

Verifies licenses and/or certification on the internet and copy of verification attached to application prior to interview.

Advise applicants on employment conditions and benefits.

Scheduling of current open positions interviews; prepare interview package and notify interviewing panel.

Makes copies of employment application, resume and any other significant items for each interviewing panel member.

Obtains supervisors recommendation for hire indicating the step and signature on the original application.

Upon receiving interviewing package with selection of applicant, reviews paperwork, discard extra copies and organizes file in presentable order using original application, etc.

Provide all recommendations to Human Resources Manager for further approval.

Ensures Interview Tracker is updated on a daily basis with recruitment efforts.

Meets with Human Resources Manager to confirm vacancies and pay ranges.

Provide assistance Human Resources Manager with scheduling of C-Suite and Provider interviews, until Recruiter is able to handle all positions themselves.

Cross trained to assume additional responsibility in the absence of the other Human Resource Specialist and Clerk III.

Takes initiative to find schools, programs and other outlets to create an applicant pool.

Attends local job fairs on behalf of CHI to recruit for positions.

Will assist in scanning future active and terminated personnel files to achieve a paperless office.

Using a word processor types correspondence, memos and reports, edits and proofreads a variety of materials, including correspondence, statistics, minutes, etc. as needed.

Assist with reporting Workers Compensation claims.

Ensure all compliance posters are up to date at all sites.

Types in an accurate and efficient manner, personnel documents such as job descriptions, memos as necessary and form letters.

Checks for adherence to minimum training and experience qualifications on job descriptions.

Questions those job descriptions that are not consistent with general minimum qualifications.

Provides “Draft” of changes to HR Manager for process and approval.

Ensures all new changes are changed within ADP to reflect on job postings and system evaluations.

Cross trained to assist in the absence of other Human Resources Specialist.

Assists in payroll check distribution as needed.

Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department / service and specific job-related hazards.

Participate in the Performance Improvement activities of the department.

Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
