Job Duties
- Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and position requirements.
- Screens and sources resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings
- Serves as an expert for recruiting technical candidates for Corporate and Plant-level openings
- Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as social media, Job Sites, career fairs, on-line job fairs, vocational schools, community network events, etc.
- Manages internal transfer process including screening, coordination of interview with hiring manager, transfer offer letter, etc.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on the interview process status
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with Hiring Managers to ensure achievement of staffing goals
- Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, non-competition agreements, etc.)
- Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
- Manages current candidate activity and updates in the Applicant Tracking System Dayforce
- Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
- Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry
- Assists in the new hire process, background checks, and drug testing
- Assists in collection and compilation of recruiting metrics for the Recruitment Manager
- Other duties as may be assigned consistent with scope and intent of the position.
- The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS Policy CEVPL.00005
- The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) as stated in CQAM.00001 – Corporate Quality Manual.
- Coordinate with 3rd Party Agencies including vetting /contract negotiations/ and monitoring of direct placements submittals
- Coordinate with outside job boards including Linkedin / Indeed / Handshake
- Responsible for additional training with Plant HR teams on recruiting efforts.
Requirements
- Previous experience recruiting in an Automotive Manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 5+ years of skilled trades, technical, corporate and engineering recruitment
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
- Thorough understanding of the Automotive Industry-related positions
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Proven Track record of recruiting and placing technical professionals in Corporate and Plant-level environments
- 5+ years’ experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Dayforce)
- Current knowledge of Federal, State, local employment laws
- Must be able to work on-site daily
- Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
