Human Resources Representative

Position title: HR Representative

Reports to: HR Manager

Summary:

The HR Representative will play a key role in supporting the organization’s recruitment and talent acquisition efforts while helping foster a positive workplace environment. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing various stages of the hiring process, partnering with hiring managers to attract and select qualified candidates, and ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience. In addition to recruitment responsibilities, the role provides operational HR support to management and employees while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices..

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing and updating policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, positive working relationships, and high productivity across the organization.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Facilitate new hire orientation to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Provide input on organizational succession planning and manage recruitment for all levels of personnel.
  • Oversee the maintenance and accurate communication of legally required records and those necessary for internal reporting.
  • Administer and communicate employee benefit programs, including health, life, dental insurance, retirement plans, workers’ compensation, leave policies, and employee assistance programs.
  • Oversee salary administration to ensure equity, compliance, and fairness, aligning compensation strategies with company objectives.
  • Serve as an advisor to management on employee relations matters, providing guidance to ensure compliant and effective resolution of issues.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, conducting thorough and objective investigations, and collaborating with leadership to implement solutions.
  • Deliver performance management support, including coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to strengthen workplace relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention.
  • Identify organizational and individual training needs, offering coaching and creating development plans that align with succession goals.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs for all employees, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful outcomes.
  • Maintain the integrity of HR and Payroll data systems, generating reports to support organizational goals as needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing company events and employee engagement activities.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of related experience

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of technical talent acquisition processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective interviews, utilizing active listening, sound judgment, and structured evaluation techniques to assess candidate qualifications and organizational fit.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers, employees, and cross-functional teams to support recruitment and broader HR initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements, ensuring hiring practices align with current regulations and company policies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must use personal mobile device for multi-factor authentication (MFA) for system access. This authenticates your identity
  • If required to meet business needs, must be willing to use personal mobile device for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams apps, in exchange for a mobile device stipend, should it be required

Pay: $34.32 - $48.16 per hour
