Panhandle Express is a family-owned business headquartered in Hereford, TX and a premier supplier of transportation and logistics for the livestock feeding industry in the Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico region. We have both company drivers and owner operators using a diverse fleet of modern tractors pulling pneumatic, end dump, belly dump, walking floor, belt floor, and hopper trailers. Position Objectives:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Safety Manager to lead our HR department and drive strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Manage and oversee marketing and recruitment of new employees, onboarding, and retention of talent throughout all departments. Benefit administration and communication to all employees, and administrative tasks for all employees and lease drivers. Administer and coordinate company Safety goals and policies, oversee the Safety goals and objectives for all employees / lease drivers. Strategize and collaborate with Director of Human Resource and Safety Coordinator on projects and tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of employment and labor laws, talent acquisition, and performance management. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with HR and Safety policies and regulations.

• Oversee all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
• Implement and manage HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract top talent through effective recruiting strategies.
• Conduct employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
• Manage performance management processes, including employee evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
• Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
• Handle conflict management and provide guidance on employee relations issues.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA, workers' compensation, and other employment laws.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives related to human capital management.
• Manage budgeting for HR programs and initiatives while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of employment & labor law, FMLA, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to mediate conflicts effectively.
• Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, and organization design.
• Expertise in performance management systems and employee evaluation processes.
• Proficient in HR sourcing techniques and benefits administration practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong data analysis skills for informed decision-making based on collected data insights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
