Job Summary:
The Human Resources Site Coordinator serves as the contact person for needs in the areas of employment, recruitment/retention, employee relations and compensation. The employee in this position is responsible for management of the Human Resources function for the Erlanger Bledsoe Campus and Erlanger Sequatchie Valley Campus.

In conjunction with the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter manages full life cycle recruiting for assigned areas, from initial posting of job requisitions through completion of all steps in the hiring and pre-boarding process, to ensure selected candidates meet hiring standards of Erlanger Health and the job description. The Recruiter will be responsible for following recruitment and marketing plans to source the most qualified talent for Erlanger Health. The Recruiter will advise and assist hiring managers with selection decisions and will present and negotiate salary offers with selected candidates (in conjunction with the Erlanger Health Compensation Team). The Recruiter must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and provide excellent service to all customers, internal and external.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Executes recruiting plans to source well-qualitied and diverse candidates from a variety of sources.
  • Develop relationships with key leaders and understand the business and recruiting needs of assigned areas, including forecasting, new program development, etc. Uses data to guide decision making.
  • Provides counsel to hiring managers in all areas of talent acquisition.
  • Manage selection process to include screening, interviewing and assessing candidates.
  • Create and extend job offers to internal and external candidates. Handles all aspects of offer negotiation.
  • Supports virtual and in person hiring events.
  • Works closely with other TA and HR team members to adhere to pre-boarding practices
  • Manages pre-boarding process for selected candidates and participates in process improvement work

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role in this position ensures all pieces of the hiring and on-boarding processes are executed efficiently and effectively for the Talent Acquisition team, and that a consistent customer service experience is provided to internal and external customers.

Education:
Required:
  • Two years of administrative experience in a Human Resources setting or equivalent college education.

Required after 3/7/18:
  • Bachelor�s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Employees hired prior to March 7, 2018 have been grandfathered in.

Preferred:
  • Two or more years of recruiting experience, or business operations leadership experience which includes responsibility for managing complex hiring processes, or a combination of experience and relevant education.
  • For current Erlanger Health Human Resources team members, consideration may also be given to those who have one year of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist on the Human Resources team managing complex hiring and on-boarding processes.
  • Healthcare Human Resources experience.
  • Employment branding or employment marketing experience.
  • PeopleSoft and Taleo experience.

Department Position Summary:
  • As a TA Partner, responsibilities include recruitment activities for the Bledsoe Campus/Sequatchie Valley Emergency Department, posting and advertising of vacant positions, and conducting interviews as needed. Responsible for the coordination of New Employee Orientation/Follow-Up with Organizational Development. Acts as community liaison at job fairs and other community events to promote the Erlanger Bledsoe/Sequatchie Valley Emergency Dept.
  • Employee Relations duties will include providing guidance to employees and managers with varying issues in conjunction with Erlanger Health Employee Relations Department. Other areas of responsibility include assisting with Leave of Absence Requests and discipline and grievance processes in conjunction with Erlanger Health HR. This position works closely with HRBP�s assisting with employee needs for the Bledsoe/SVED sites.
  • This position is also responsible for Kronos functions for the Bledsoe/Sequatchie Valley Campus including approving data for the Dept. Managers as directed by the Market President for Bledsoe/Sequatchie Valley.
  • In-processing of all new employees for the Bledsoe/SVED Campus including entry of new hire information and maintenance of current employee information into the Peoplesoft/ Applicant Tracking systems as necessary. Responsible for securing criminal background checks on all employees with timeline established by the State of TN. Responsible for pre-employment searches to include but not limited to: EPLS, OIG, Abuse Registry.
  • Assist with the processing of employee injury for Erlanger Bledsoe/Sequatchie Valley employees as needed.
  • Co-ordinates employee anniversary recognition programs and special events for Bledsoe Campus/Sequatchie Valley Campus in conjunction with employee relations
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of up-to-date job descriptions in conjunction with department supervisors and Erlanger Health HR Department.
  • Maintains all necessary records and reports in an orderly manner. Acts as Human Resources representative for Bledsoe Campus/Sequatchie Valley Campus for all State Surveys, DNV Surveys, and CAP Surveys.
  • The TAS will respond to questions about the hiring and orientation process from managers and candidates. The TAS must present him/herself in a professional manner and work as a partner with the HR team, hiring managers, and candidates. He/she should exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of computer applications and software such as MS Office, Taleo and PeopleSoft. Exemplifies good organizational and administrative skills and appropriately prioritizes work. Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. Positively demonstrates and promotes team spirit.

  • In the Talent Access Specialist Role:
1. The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) ensures all pieces of the hiring and on-boarding processes are executed efficiently and effectively for the Talent Acquisition team, and that consistent customer service experience is provided to internal and external customers. The TAS�s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
2. Knowledge of career site and application mechanics
3. Scheduling pre-employment physicals. Ensures results for all pieces of the physical are acceptable. Notifies recruiter or director as appropriate with concerns.
4. Ordering background screens and ensuring results are received in a timely manner and reviewed by recruiter. Appropriately notifies recruiter of concerns in background screen results. Archives background screen results in imaging system.
5. Ensures candidate completes on-boarding portal on time and assists with questions
6. Ensures all on-boarding deadlines are met to ensure a seamless transition to orientation
7. Works with Organizational Development to ensure all orientees and the TA team are prepared for New Associate Orientation each week
8. Assists with the I-9 process for orientation groups
9. Understands the badging process
10. Prepares Sign on bonus agreements as necessary.
11. Registration and coordination of recruiting events.
12. Attends career fairs/recruiting events
