Human Resources Specialist provide service to team members in the community that enable them to function at the highest possible level. This service includes:
- Assist in processing all applications once an offer has been made (background, sex offender, exclusion, MVR, etc.)
- Coordinate all pre-hire appointments (drug screen, TB test, orientation date, etc.)
- Input new hires into HRIS system and complete all post-hire paperwork (Relias, E-verify, referral program, create employee files, etc.)
- Lead orientation and coordinate with all departments involved.
- Organizes customer service training (WE CARE)
- Assist in reviewing applications/resumes.
- Assist in the interview process.
- Maintains the HRIS database and generates requested reports to assist management.
- Maintains team member files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Assist with enrollments, changes, and terminations of participants in all benefit plans and programs.
- Assist with worker’s compensation claims.
- Assist in maintaining OSHA Log.
- Assist employees with any benefit issues.
- Serve as back up for payroll.
- Assists in planning team member appreciation and recognition events.
Required:
- Able to speak and understand English.
- Spanish language knowledge a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with residents, family members and staff.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft platform.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, and OSHA regulations.
- Evidence of negative TB skin test within the past 12 months or the equivalent thereof.
