Position Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist will provide comprehensive administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department and organization to achieve its goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, clerical experience preferred. New Graduates welcome, but 1 year of experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials.
  • Good organizational and time management skills including ability to do multiple tasks and handle interruptions.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement, plan and be well organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Takes Initiative and is flexible and cooperative.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates and coordinates in full cycle recruiting process. Responsibilities include posting job requisitions, sourcing talent, interviewing, making job offers, completing all background checks and onboarding new hires.
  • Ensures employee files are current and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Understands and administers employee benefits (Including, but not limited to health, dental, vision, COBRA, life insurance, 403(b) retirement planning, voluntary benefits, and employee events).
  • Creates employee related spreadsheets and reports. Gathers, compiles, and maintains data needed for reports.
  • Prepares documentation needed for new hires, changes in employment status, pay and benefits.
  • Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations and organizational changes. Making sure all information is secure and protected.
  • Generates a variety of routine and non-routine documents, which may include forms, memos, reports, flyers, letters, etc.
  • Assists with special assignments, projects, meetings, and/or events through coordination and administration.
  • Maintain closed files for the agency.
  • Maintaining employee files, making sure all files are up to date.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.

Daylight, Monday-Friday hours. Some flex schedule and or work from home hours upon successful 6 months probationary period.

Pay Rate: $42,000-$45,000

Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. EOE/ADA
