Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our Healthcare organization in The Colony, TX. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in labor laws and regulations, extensive experience managing employee onboarding and termination, and prior experience in the healthcare sector. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to support HR operations in a compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state (Texas), and local labor laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations
  • Manage end-to-end employee onboarding, including credential verification, compliance training, new hire documentation, and system setup
  • Oversee all aspects of employee terminations, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and legal compliance
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including licensure, certifications, and training records required for healthcare roles
  • Support employee relations in a healthcare environment, assisting with policy interpretation and conflict resolution
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure timely staffing and workforce planning
  • Assist with benefits administration, HR reporting, and compliance audits
  • Support HR initiatives and process improvements across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources within the healthcare sector (required)
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, healthcare compliance regulations, and HR best practices
  • Proven experience managing employee onboarding and terminations
  • Familiarity with healthcare credentialing requirements and compliance standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
