Human Resources Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of human capital management, employment law, and talent acquisition strategies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational growth through effective HR practices, employee engagement, and strategic planning. The Human Resources Specialist will be instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This position is essential for supporting our mission to attract, develop, and retain top talent while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires to ensure a seamless recruitment experience.
  • Oversee employee orientation programs and ongoing training & development initiatives to promote professional growth and organizational effectiveness.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and manage benefits administration tasks such as enrollment, changes, and compliance with applicable laws like FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Facilitate employee evaluation processes, including performance management systems, succession planning, and employee relations to foster a motivated workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor laws by maintaining accurate data collection, contracts management, and adherence to legal standards across all HR functions.
  • Support change management initiatives by developing strategic plans that align human resources practices with organizational goals.
  • Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors for data entry, workforce management, and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with leadership on organization design projects and affirmative action planning to promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of human capital management principles combined with expertise in employment & labor law compliance.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruiting strategies, and HR sourcing techniques utilizing ATS tools like iCIMS or Taleo.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across all levels of the organization; adept at conflict management and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or Paychex; familiarity with payroll processing tools like Kronos or Paylocity is advantageous.
  • Ability to develop and implement training & development programs that enhance employee skills and engagement.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration procedures including workers' compensation processes and health insurance regulations.
