Job Summary:

SYNERGY HomeCare, a leading provider of home care services in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources & Compliance Specialist to support our growing team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top talent in the home care industry. Responsibilities:

• Recruit, interview, and hire CNAs, HHAs, Homemakers, and Companion Caregivers
• Conduct new hire orientation and employee onboarding
• Review and explain the Employee Handbook, company policies, and workplace expectations
• Maintain AHCA-compliant employee personnel files
• Track caregiver licenses, certifications, CPR, annual in-services, TB screenings, background screenings, driver's licenses, and auto insurance
• Verify licenses and certifications through the Florida Department of Health
• Ensure caregivers remain compliant before accepting assignments
• Maintain confidential employee records
• Conduct personnel file audits and prepare for AHCA surveys
• Support employee relations, coaching, and performance documentation
• Assist with HR projects and office operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in home care, home health, hospice, or healthcare
• Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations and caregiver credentialing
• Experience recruiting and interviewing caregivers
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

• Experience with home care software (AxisCare, WellSky, or similar)
• SHRM or PHR certification
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
