Human Resources Specialist - Recruiting and Onboarding SME (36127)

An international automotive parts manufacturer near the Fort Branch, IN area is looking for an entry- to junior-level Human Resources Specialist with experience in hiring and recruiting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with high-volume candidate sourcing and onboarding, general familiarity with other human resources operations, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

This position is direct hire, full-time and 100% on-site. Occasional travel within the U.S. may be required.

Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for any inquiries related to employee onboarding, including recruiting and screening, scheduling and conducting job interviews, coordinating offers, I-9 processing, managing ADP setup, and submitting relevant tax credits
  • Support recruiting operations by selecting, screening, and interviewing candidates for each plant location, identifying new candidate sources and following up with leads
  • Assist with planning and execution for recruitment events for multiple manufacturing plants around the U.S.
  • Review onboarding processes and suggest opportunities for improvement
  • Administer and communicate employee benefit programs in strict adherence to governmental requirements
  • Maintain and update employee records in company databases and provide reporting when required
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reporting requirements as required
  • Create reports on HR activity
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Human Resources Specialist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred. Relevant equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Prior experience in recruiting, hiring, or employee onboarding
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments and colleagues
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. as required--up to 20%
  • Familiarity with ADP, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Fluent communication in verbal and written English
  • Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and adapt well to pressure
  • Positive with a strong attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
