Job Title: HR Data Reporting Analyst / Business/System Analyst


Location: Remote (Rancho Cordova, CA area preferred)


Duration: 3+ Months (with possible extension)


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift


Pay Rate: $58 - $60/hr (W2)


About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled HR Data Reporting Analyst / Business/System Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining HR dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that drive strategic workforce decisions. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Workday Dashboards, Power BI, and Excel, with a strong background in HR data analytics and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Workday Dashboards, Power BI, and other analytics tools.
  • Translate complex HR data into actionable insights that support workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, and other HR initiatives.
  • Lead the intake, documentation, and prioritization of People Analytics requirements.
  • Develop scalable, repeatable reporting workflows and automate data processes where possible.
  • Monitor data quality, consistency, and governance; collaborate with HRIS, IT, and data owners to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to align analytics with strategic objectives.
  • Deliver custom and ad hoc analyses to support informed decision-making.
  • Present data-driven insights clearly to varied audiences.
  • Support change management efforts, including training on analytics tools and data literacy.
  • Assist in planning, testing (UAT), and execution of People Analytics initiatives, including readiness and post-implementation reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date on People Analytics trends and emerging technologies.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • A master’s degree in a related discipline is a plus.


Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years in people analytics, HR systems, or business analyst roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Dashboards, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR metrics and processes across the employee lifecycle (e.g., talent acquisition, engagement, attrition, performance).
  • Experience gathering and documenting analytics requirements.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday and SmartRecruiter.
  • Experience exporting Workday HCM and HRIS data into external systems (Data Lake, Power BI).
  • Experience working in a global or multinational environment is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Understanding of data privacy, governance, and compliance as related to HR data.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven analytics tools is preferred.
