Provides comprehensive administrative support and facilitates the processing of a wide range of human resources transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Contributes to and supports special projects, assisting with coordination, execution, and follow-through as needed.
40% - Enters and updates data in HCM, SIS, and Faculty Information System; collects and tracks confidential documents/data in systems and spreadsheets; maintains and organizes physical and electronic personnel files, provides support to department, special projects and activities.
20% - Provides customer service to internal and external stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person; responds to general inquiries and provides referral to appropriate resource for specific requests; follow up to ensure questions and issues have been addressed satisfactorily; provides general clerical/administrative assistance using Microsoft Office and Google resources.
20% - Programs activity support which may include processing I-9 documents and E-Verify; adheres to applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
10% - Attends departmental, college and district-wide meetings and training in person and virtually; performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED and six (6) months of work experience in human resources, customer service, general office work, or administrative support and coordination. The required experience can come from any combination of the areas listed.
There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
A. Two (2) years of administrative or customer service experience
B. Experience working in a Human Resources office environment
C. Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
D. Experience prioritizing work and being detailed oriented
E. One (1) year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years.
Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate’s own expense. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.
