Polar Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has opening for an HVAC Apprentice. Polar is a family-owned and operated heating and air conditioning company serving Madison and St. Clair County, IL. We specialize in maintaining, servicing, and installing complete HVAC systems for residential and commercial properties. Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated HVAC Apprentice to assist our installation team with new heating and cooling system installs. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the trade, work with their hands, and grow into a skilled technician.

As an apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced installers to help with equipment setup, ductwork, and job site preparation while gaining real-world, hands-on experience in the HVAC field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation of HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, and related components
• Help with ductwork, equipment placement, and system setup
• Load/unload materials and maintain an organized job site
• Follow safety procedures and company standards
• Support senior technicians and learn installation best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Insurable driving record
• Must be able to pass a drug and medical screening
• Must have a clean criminal background check
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all types of customers
• Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with clients
• Mechanical background is preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
