HVAC Commercial Technician

Summary

A growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to handle service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial systems. This role is best suited for someone who can work independently, diagnose issues quickly, and take ownership of their work in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems
• Handle startup and commissioning of equipment including RTU, VRF, splits, WSHP, DOAS, and ERV systems
• Diagnose system issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components
• Work directly with manufacturers and technical support as needed
• Test systems, piping, and electrical components for proper operation
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, and wiring
• Maintain strong communication with customers and provide quality service
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
• EPA Certification required
• Strong experience with commercial systems including chillers, heat pumps, and air handlers
• Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues
• Experience working with manufacturers like Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, AAON preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Ability to work independently in the field
