HVAC Controls Service Technician

Job Description:

Full-time field based position to maintain and service Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). Work will include regular maintenance, as well as service calls for a variety of control system types and manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

• Interfacing with customers and contractors in a professional manner
• Perform periodic maintenance on customers' systems
• Responding to customer service calls
• Install and point to point DDC controllers on smaller service projects
• Troubleshooting and repairing controllers, devices, and programming
• Communicate with the Service Manager
• Perform point to point, check-out and controls startup for small service projects.

Qualifications:

• Three or more years servicing commercial BAS and DDC systems
• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical/refrigeration service background is preferred
• Experience reading mechanical, electrical, and DDC control drawings
• Experience with large commercial HVAC systems such as chilled water plants, heating hot water plants, air handlers, water source heat pumps, VAVs, etc
• Ability to work independently and in an efficient manner
• Experience with JCI Metasys / Distech Controls / Niagara is desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
