HVAC Engineer-Duties and Responsibilities

➢ Review project scope and technical specifications for equipment replacement, ensuring

compliance with design and standards.

➢ Conduct detailed site inspections to assess existing HVAC systems and identify

replacement requirements.

➢ Prepare method statements, work schedules, for planned replacement activities.

➢ Evaluate and select suitable replacement equipment (chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs,

etc.) based on performance, efficiency, and compatibility.

➢ Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for approvals, shutdowns,

and smooth execution.

➢ Supervise dismantling and safe removal of old equipment and oversee proper

installation of new units.

➢ Ensure correct mechanical, electrical, and control connections during installation and

verify system integrity.

➢ Monitor testing and commissioning activities to confirm operational performance as per

manufacturer specifications.

➢ Enforce safety and quality control procedures throughout all phases of replacement

works.

➢ Maintain accurate documentation and reports, including inspection records,

commissioning data, and as-built drawings.
