HVAC Engineer

Job Summary:

The HVAC Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role involves ensuring system efficiency, compliance with project specifications, and coordination with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review HVAC systems including air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals
• Perform heat load calculations and equipment selection
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and local authority regulations (e.g., municipality, DEWA where applicable)
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, civil, and architectural teams
• Supervise installation works and ensure quality standards
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC systems
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues
• Support estimation, material take-offs, and procurement
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and site safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 3–6 years of experience in HVAC/MEP projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, and chilled water systems
• Familiarity with local authority approvals and standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in high-rise or commercial projects
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
