Duties
- Assist experienced HVAC technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing components.
- Support the setup and operation of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems using schematics and technical drawings.
- Help with troubleshooting electrical components using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment when necessary.
- Carry out basic mechanical tasks such as equipment repair, property maintenance, and appliance servicing under supervision.
- Aid in the handling of refrigerants such as ammonia refrigeration systems following safety protocols.
- Support field service operations by preparing work sites, transporting tools and equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Assist with welding, plumbing connections, and other mechanical tasks to ensure efficient system performance.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or property maintenance is highly valued.
- Service technician experience involving HVAC systems or appliance repair is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, or refrigeration systems enhances your ability to succeed.
- Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, air conditioning units, or ammonia refrigeration systems is beneficial.
- Experience working with field service teams or performing equipment repair tasks demonstrates your readiness for this role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for transportation needs.
- Hands-on experience with Ohmmeters, welding tools, or mechanical troubleshooting will set you apart as a candidate ready to contribute from day one.
