HVAC Install Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Install Assistant to join our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction, mechanical systems, and property maintenance to gain hands-on experience in HVAC installation and service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Prior experience in service technician roles, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required for this position. This is a paid position suitable for those looking to develop their skills in HVAC/R and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
• Support technicians in reading schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure proper setup
• Perform basic maintenance and equipment repair tasks under supervision
• Help with plumbing connections and property maintenance related to HVAC systems
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical components
• Support welding, mechanical assembly, and equipment setup as needed
• Assist with field service tasks including system testing and troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency during installations
• Follow safety protocols and procedures during all phases of installation and maintenance

Requirements

• Prior experience or knowledge in construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance preferred
• Service technician experience or background in appliance repair, HVAC/R, or refrigeration is advantageous
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and plumbing systems is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning, boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and equipment repair preferred
• Ability to operate basic tools including welding equipment and ohmmeters
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license required; <PERSON> driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
• Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team in a dynamic environment

Pay: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
