HVAC Install Technician

We are currently seeking experienced HVAC Install Technicians to join our growing team.

Summary

As an HVAC Installer at Perfect Star Heating Cooling & Electrical, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients enjoy optimal comfort through efficient installation and maintenance of HVAC systems. This position is essential to our mission of providing unmatched service and quality in the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems according to specifications and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot issues with HVAC equipment and provide effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to design efficient HVAC systems for residential properties.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
• Educate clients on system operation and maintenance best practices.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during installations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• EPA Certification
• HVAC training school (Preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Clean background check
• Drug-free
• Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or similar role in the HVAC industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and components.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R principles and practices is essential.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Field service experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Work in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain) at least 70% of the time.
• Climb ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).
• Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
• Occasionally works from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
• Carry 24 ft extension ladder alone and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs.
• Operate handheld power tools
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day

Working Environment:

• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Would be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures
• Ability to work on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for up to 8 hours
• May work in awkward environments and will have to carry all required equipment and supplies at all times.
• Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with sewer and water, exposure to the sounds associated with power tools and construction sites, and exposure to dust and other debris associated with the use of power tools and current home conditions
• Will be in proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations
• Must be able to work with sharp tools and electricity that could potentially produce cuts or burns
• Must wear safety attire (PPE) often, such as goggles or other protective clothing
• Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting
• Will be exposed to very bright or inadequate lighting conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work from roofs and scaffolding
• Will work around exposed contaminants
• Must be able to work in cramped workplaces, such as crawl spaces under floors

Pay: $21.00 - $60.00 per hour
