Job Overview: HVAC Installation Technician (Residential)

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installation Technician with strong experience in residential systems. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels in hands-on installation and repair but also brings leadership, organization, and the ability to guide and train others. The right candidate can manage projects independently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, replace, and commission residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues during and after installation
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
• Lead and coordinate installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
• Maintain organized job sites, including tools, materials, and documentation
• Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on proper installation techniques and best practices
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management regarding project status and system operation
• Perform system testing, calibration, and customer walkthroughs upon completion

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in residential HVAC installation and repair
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to train others
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation procedures
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to office

Preferred Skills:

• EPA certification
• Experience with a variety of HVAC brands and system types
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Work Environment:

• Residential job sites in varying conditions
• Physical work including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or extreme temperatures

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
