We’re a small, growing residential HVAC company in the northwest Twin Cities metro looking for our first install and service tech. This is a chance to come in early, work directly with the owner, and help build something real — not be one of 50 trucks at a bigger shop.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll run installs and service calls solo. Day-to-day looks like this:

• Residential furnace, AC, and heat pump installs — full system swaps, line sets, ductwork, electrical hookups, startup, charging, and customer walkthrough

• Service calls — diagnostics, repairs, no-heat / no-cool, control and component work

• Maintenance tune-ups — seasonal PMs on furnaces, ACs, and heat pumps

• Customer-facing work — you’re representing the company in someone’s home, so professionalism and cleanliness matter to us

The owner sets up jobs, handles permits, pulls equipment lists, and does final walkthroughs. You execute. If you hit something tricky, the owner is a phone call away — and stops by if needed.

WHAT WE NEED

Required:

• 2+ years of residential HVAC install experience, able to run installs solo

• Comfortable with refrigerant work, brazing, line sets, gas piping, and electrical hookups

• EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)

• Valid MN driver’s license, clean driving record

• Professional with customers — clean appearance, respectful, communicates clearly

• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude, especially when jobs get hard

• Reliable, punctual, takes pride in the work

• Coachable — willing to call for help, learn the way we do things, and accept feedback

Skills that may earn you more:

• Boiler installation and service experience

• Ductless mini-split install and service experience

• New home construction / rough-in experience

• Water heater installation (tank and tankless)

• Water softener installation and service

• Competency Card / MN HVAC licensing

• NATE certification

• Heat pump and dual-fuel system experience

WHAT WE OFFER

• $28 – $36/hr based on experience, skills, and how you show up day-to-day. The higher end of the range is earned through consistent performance, attitude, and professionalism with customers — not just credentials on paper.

• Take-home company van — fully stocked, fueled, insured, and maintained by us

• Specialty tools provided — refrigerant gauges, vacuum pump, recovery machine, brazing setup, leak detector. You bring your own hand tools.

• Full-time hours with overtime during peak season (time-and-a-half)
