HVAC Maintenance Specialist

Southwest Heating & Cooling is looking for a Senior HVAC Service Technician that has experience in heating and cooling, residential hvac maintenance and troubleshooting to help us achieve the goals that we set out to accomplish every day. Tech Position Summary: As an HVAC service technician for Southwest Heating and Cooling, you will perform service on residential and light commercial air conditioning systems while providing a high-quality experience to every customer. Includes maintenance and an "on-call" rotation schedule. Southwest Heating and Cooling is NOT a sales company. We strive for transparency with our customers and having truly knowledgeable technicians that can diagnose and repair HVAC Systems.

Requirements:

• Must have proven HVAC experience, at least 5 years preferred
• Self-motivated, reliable and detail-oriented
• Must be EPA Certified
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DMV check

Job Duties:

• Inspects HVACR systems.
• Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on HVACR systems.
• Installs HVACR systems.
• Diagnoses and correct problems in HVACR systems.
• Tests electrical circuits and components for continuity.
• Tests pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks.
• Joins pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source.
• Reassembles and tests equipment following repairs.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Installs, connects, and adjusts thermostats, humidistats and timers.
• Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Inspects and tests HVACR systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
