HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mechanical systems, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver exceptional service that keeps our environment comfortable and efficient. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, and related mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC systems in accordance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues on-site at various properties or facilities, providing timely repairs for air conditioning units, appliances, and other mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system conditions for compliance and future reference.
  • Operate welding tools and perform equipment repair tasks that may include ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized machinery.
  • Assist in the training of team members on equipment operation and safety procedures related to HVAC/R systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction-related property maintenance or as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, plumbing, refrigeration, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC design principles and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration or other specialized refrigerants is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus.
  • Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with field service procedures involving equipment installation or repair.

Pay: $26.01 - $32.00 per hour
