HVAC Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and execute repairs across a variety of property types. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for building occupants while supporting the overall efficiency of our facilities. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and installation.
• Assist with HVAC system upgrades or installations by applying knowledge of HVAC design principles and construction standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs to document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members on field service projects to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems or property maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and HVAC components.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents for troubleshooting purposes.
• Experience working in construction or building maintenance environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated welding skills and experience with mechanical repair techniques are advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
