<Responsibilities>

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing fixtures. May need to do repairs if needed .
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Conduct equipment repair using various tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing, welding equipment for mechanical fixes, and other specialized instruments.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems by analyzing mechanical components and electrical wiring to identify faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to reach various job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

<Skills>

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and plumbing.
  • Proven service technician experience with field service operations involving equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans for accurate diagnostics.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing welding or other mechanical repairs as needed.
  • Knowledge of construction principles relevant to HVAC installation or maintenance projects.
  • Experience with appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and general mechanical work in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to refrigerants (including ammonia), electrical systems, welding techniques, and boiler operation.
  • Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate heavy equipment when required.
