Job description:

HVAC – MEP Site Engineer

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Oversee daily HVAC installation works (ducting, chilled water piping, insulation, equipment installation, etc.) on the project site.
• Ensure that all works are executed in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors; assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Verify installation of AHUs, FCUs, FAHUs, VAVs, exhaust fans, chilled water pumps, etc., as per equipment layout.

2. Coordination with Other Trades

• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, civil, and finishing teams to resolve any HVAC interface or obstruction issues.
• Attend daily coordination and technical meetings with other site engineers and consultants.
• Identify and resolve site conflicts and raise RFIs (Request for Information) when clarification is needed.

3. Material Management

• Ensure that only approved materials are used as per project submittals and BOQ.
• Coordinate with the procurement/logistics team for timely delivery of HVAC equipment and consumables.
• Monitor material usage and avoid wastage on-site.

4. Quality & Compliance

• Conduct inspections and prepare checklists for HVAC installation activities.
• Raise IRs (Inspection Requests) and coordinate with the consultant for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure installation is compliant with local authority requirements (DM, DCD, DEWA) and project-specific standards (such as EMAAR, NAKHEEL, ALDAR if applicable).
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.

5. Testing & Commissioning Support

• Assist in planning and execution of testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks including pressure testing, duct leakage testing, flushing, and balancing.
• Coordinate with TAB (Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing) and commissioning teams for final testing procedures.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site logs, daily progress reports, material delivery logs, and manpower reports.
• Prepare work inspection checklists, snag lists, and maintain updated red-marked drawings.
• Report delays, material shortages, or technical issues to the Senior Engineer/Project Manager.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all HVAC site works comply with project safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor proper use of PPE, safe handling of equipment, and secure installation practices.

8. Client & Consultant Interaction

• Accompany consultant/client representatives during site inspections.
• Respond professionally to client feedback and ensure corrective measures are taken promptly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
