Job Title: HVAC Operator

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including chiller plants, to ensure efficient and uninterrupted cooling and ventilation services. The role requires hands-on technical expertise to maintain system performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Operate and maintain chiller plants, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose HVAC system faults and carry out corrective actions promptly.
• Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with standards.
• Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Coordinate with supervisors and external service providers for specialized repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and statutory regulations.
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment when required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Certifications:

• Certification in HVAC / Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (preferred).
• Safety or chiller plant operation certifications will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and chiller plant operations is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chiller plants, and refrigeration cycles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment effectively.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and tools.
• Understanding of safety standards and energy efficiency practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
