An HVAC PPM Technician ensures the optimal operation, safety, and efficiency of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a luxury hotel or resort. This role focuses on Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to prevent equipment breakdowns, enhance guest comfort, and maintain the high standards expected in luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, boilers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect, clean, and service HVAC components to ensure peak performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and calibrate thermostats, sensors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues, performing minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all PPM activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to support emergency maintenance and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and hotel SOPs.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints related to HVAC systems, ensuring a seamless luxury experience.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma, degree, or certification in Mechanical/Electrical/ HVAC Engineering or relevant field.
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and preventive maintenance programs, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, and ventilation.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically capable of performing duties, including climbing, lifting, and accessing equipment.
