Project Manager (HVAC)
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee our mechanical contracting projects. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in an HVAC PM position, preferably with a mechanical contractor. They will be responsible for reviewing schedules for each job and generating a two-week look-ahead, tracking job costs and budgets weekly, and negotiating change orders with owners and general contractors. Additionally, this person will have strong knowledge of the sequence of operations to schedule work.
Experience: 4-6 years
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the execution of HVAC activities and installations with respect to the approved clause program, specifications, regulations, and standards for NYSCA projects in New York.
- Execute expertise in analyzing blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers’ recommendations to determine the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components to ensure accurate application and installation of components.
- Administer all project operations to identify & resolve all technical issues.
- Reviewing of all technical submittals, including material, shop drawings, RFI, method statements based on specifications, design drawings and regulations before submission to the client.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors & other departments to check and resolve technical issues.
- Design all project schedules, plans and analyze all work instructions.
- Coordinating and controlling the activities of work crews and subcontractors.
- Checking the progress of the work at sites as per program to achieve the dates of completion.
- Ensuring the works are performed in accordance with the specifications/procedures.
- Coordinate with various departments to recommend required quality improvements and cost reductions for all activities and manage all acquisition materials and ensure compliance to all mechanical plans.
- Track materials to ensure schedules are maintained.
- Provide accurate information, prepare for, and participate in the cost-to-complete process.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget.
- Manage administrative aspects of contracts (change orders, billing and expenses, collections, etc.) by working closely with administrative staff and accounting, communicating all financial details to appropriate parties.
- Complete job closeout process including resolution of punch list items, recording of as-built drawings, organization and distribution of IOM manuals, test and balance report filing, and warranty items.

- Strong knowledge and experience in HVAC systems and projects.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Work Environment: (Hybrid)
- On-site at Nust NSTP from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
