HVAC & Refrigeration Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and installing various refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment, including ice machines.
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics and diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects involving plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Execute equipment repairs on air conditioning units, boilers, and other related appliances.
• Utilize welding skills for repairs as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
• Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years proven experience as a service technician in refrigeration or HVAC/R fields.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics effectively.
• Familiarity with commercial refrigeration and ice machines a plus.
• Proficient in appliance repair, including air conditioning units and boilers.
• Valid driver's license is required for field service responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
