Ty Construction & Refrigeration Co. is a family owned and operated company with an established industry leading presence. We have specialized in supermarket HVAC & Refrigeration in the mid-Atlantic since 1967 for “big box” grocery retailers such as Giant Foods, Weis Markets, Walmart, BJ’s Wholesale and AmazonFresh.

We are seeking candidates with experience in refrigeration and/or HVAC service. Candidates that have a background in this area of the industry are preferred however, we believe wholeheartedly in bringing apprentice level candidates onto our team if they are motivated and desire to improve their knowledge base and grow into a fulfilling career - we take pride in creating elite technicians. What We Need From You –

• Desire to provide satisfactory workmanship for any task, no matter how small
• Clean driving record with willingness to travel up to 2hrs
• Basic hand tools must be owned by candidate
• In sufficient physical condition so as to meet the demands of the position; company will accommodate to the best of our ability
• Must have proficient communication skills
• Must possess the ability to work independently and amongst a *team*
• 40 hours per week - flexible scheduling to accommodate families
• On call schedule participation - not more frequently than one rotation per month.

Experience/Abilities –

• Grocery/Supermarket based refrigeration experience, either through installation or service.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
• Ability to braze copper pipe proficiently
• Basic electrical knowledge, 24V – 240V
• Thorough understanding of the refrigeration cycle for parallel rack systems and basic diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
• EPA 608 Universal License
• EMS controller experience (Danfoss, Emerson, Novar, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
