Available during Core Business Hours – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Available for service calls after hours.
Level/Salary Range:
$30.00 - $42.00
Position Summary:
To provide maintenance on commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience.
Essential wFunctions and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from Supervisor or Dispatcher
- Accurately complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to take “on-call” responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Must to adhere to company dress code/uniform policy
- Properly run condensate drains per code
- Run refrigerant piping
- Ability to install and program VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Ability to charge an AC/Refrigeration system
- Knowledge and understanding of building controls
- Ability to charge an AC/Refrigeration system
- Ability to install HVAC systems, boiler systems and pumps
- Properly use safety equipment, PPE’s such as gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, safety gear as per company policy
- Properly fill out stock removal forms
- Obtain positive customer reviews
- Complete timecard reporting on a daily basis through the company timecard program
- Keep all items within traveling vehicles properly secure and tided down
- Pick up parts from vendors when required
- Keep company vehicle and tools in clean and orderly conditions
- Report to Dispatcher when arriving and leaving a call or job site
- Complete all service-related forms
- Ability to assess amount of time to complete a task
- Understanding of chillers, pump curves and hydronic piping
- Understanding of controls
- VRF Service and install
- Basic knowledge of wiring HVAC systems
- Knowledge and ability to properly complete cleaning and maintenance of cooling and heating coils
- Ability to remove and install replacement HVAC systems
- Ability to assemble stock required list for the installation of HVAC systems
- Use and perform workflow process on the service software through the mobile devices
- Obtain knowledge of building automation systems and their functions
- Know Standard Pressure Test procedures
o Triple EVAC
o Superheat / sub cooling
o Charging an existing unit
o Understand charged based off of TXV or fixed metering device
o Understand what are non-condensable’ s
o Take oil sample / Acid test
o Line set flush
o Brazing
- Ability to trouble shoot boilers
- Ability to determine parts that are susceptible to failure; such as pulleys, shives, heat exchanges, and pump seals
- Knowledge of how to purge water systems
- Pump rebuilds
- Ability to maintain cooling towers
