HVAC Service Technician Technician - Chester, NY

Alpine Air is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong mechanical and customer service skills. We are looking for someone who has Mechanic or Journeyman experience and has been anHVAC installer for at least 5 years.Candidate should have experience with boilers, furnaces, hot water heaters, air handling units, humidifiers and other commercial and residential HVAC equipment. Experience with ductless mini-split systems and Geothermal is a bonus.

The primary job responsibilities are to install or diagnose and service HVAC systems in residential and commercial spaces. Candidate will interact with home owners and commercial building occupants so customer service is a top priority. Mechanic must be able to work Monday through Friday. Overtime is often available if desired.

Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and service heating and cooling systems

· Have knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems, hot water heaters, and humidifiers to effectively install and ensure safe and uninterrupted operation

· Maintain a clean and safe work area and company vehicle

· Protect and maintain company tools and equipment and respect customers’ space

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

· Provide an exceptional customer experience

· Direct, instruct and train apprentice level technicians

Requirements:

· Have a minimum of 5 years field experience of HVAC systems in commercial and residential applications

· Participate in ongoing training to maintain a strong knowledge of industry equipment

· Execute all work in accordance with established safety and company procedures

· Ability to work in confined spaces like crawlspaces and attics

· Clean driver’s license

· Comfortable working in various weather conditions

· Ability to use company provided iPad to receive and complete work orders, use time clock features and GPS

· Maintain truck inventory and equipment functionality of company supplied tools

· Ability to work independently and in a team

· Able to work Monday through Friday starting at 7:30am

· May not participate in side-work/jobs

· Must be able to work occasional overtime

· Must be well groomed and have a neat appearance

· Have a strong attention to detail and pride in your work

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to maneuver heavy objects with assistance

· You must be able to climb ladders and work in small spaces
