HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced fabricator with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of HVAC ductwork fabrication. The right candidate will work closely with our shop manager to ensure high-quality production of custom sheet metal components that meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate sheet metal ductwork and fittings according to blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery including shears, brakes, and plasma cutters
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal with precision and attention to detail
• Perform layout, assembly, and welding of components as required
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Adhere to safety procedures and company quality standards
• Communicate with team leads and project managers regarding material needs and timelines

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication (preferred)
• Proficiency with sheet metal tools and machines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Bonus Skills:

• Forklift certification
• Familiarity with SMACNA standards
