HVAC Team Leader

The HVAC Team Leader is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing HVAC maintenance, installation, and repair activities within a facility or multiple sites. This role ensures that all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The HVAC Team Leader also provides technical guidance to the HVAC team and ensures timely resolution of system issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and manage a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring adherence to work schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Plan, assign, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for HVAC systems across multiple facilities.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs of HVAC units, chillers, AHUs, VRF systems, and associated components.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and startup of new HVAC systems or equipment.
• Ensure HVAC systems are calibrated, optimized, and performing efficiently to meet operational and energy standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, service reports, and spare parts usage.
• Monitor team performance, provide on-the-job training, and support skill development of technicians.
• Coordinate with facility managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implement safe working practices on all HVAC projects.
• Prepare reports on team activities, system performance, and maintenance costs for management review.
• Support budget planning and cost control for HVAC operations and projects.
• Respond to emergency HVAC issues promptly, providing technical direction and hands-on support when required.
• Perform site visits to inspect work progress, verify quality, and address operational issues.
• Recommend improvements, upgrades, or replacement of HVAC equipment to optimize system performance and efficiency.
