HVAC Technician

. Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers and heat pumps

. Troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of the malfunction

. Perform scheduled maintenance inspections, and adjusts, cleans and calibrates various systems to assure proper system operations

. Repair wiring and electronic components associated with automated building management systems

. Replace expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units and other component parts

. Clean refrigerant systems from hermetic burnouts, evacuates, and charges systems

. Troubleshoot and repairs direct digital and pneumatic control systems

. Check distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperature, pressure, etc.

. Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC systems including installations and modifications to existing systems

. Inspect HVAC systems and components (e.g. heating units) and evaluate condition, identifying necessary repairs (if any)

. Determines cause of and corrects condensation problems

. Implement health & safety guidelines

. Ensure adherence to international best practices, local standards and regulations

. Prepare and submit required daily maintenance reports

. Performs other duties/ responsibilities that may be assigned by the Facilities Manager and/ or the Mall Manager

Education

. Technical diploma in HVAC

. HVAC Technical Certification is preferred

Experience

. 5+ years of experience in HVAC works

. Knowledge in HVAC equipment and components

· Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations,

policies and procedures

. Knowledge of the methods, materials, fixtures, tools, and

equipment used in HVAC works

. Ability to read drawings/ diagrams/ blueprints
